iHealth names former Greenway exec Justin Barnes chief growth officer
iHealth on Monday announced that it has named Justin Barnes as Partner and Chief Growth Officer.
Barnes’ appointment comes on the heels of iHealth Solutions buying DNA Healthcare, taking an investment from Fulcrum Equity Partners, and creating the new business called, simply, iHealth.
The entity now encompasses iHealth Solutions revenue cycle management tools and DNA’s financial and clinical analytics, care coordination and chronic care management offerings. The combined companies also offer consulting services around contract negotiation, coding audits and training, EHR training, market assessment, practice growth strategies.
“We enable providers to understand every step of the process in moving from fee-for-service to value-based care,” Barnes added, whether that means implementing programs for Federally-Qualified Health Center, Patient-Centered Medical Home, MACRA, MIPS or quality reporting. “It’s ensuring the financial health and well being of hospitals and physician practices. The goal is to navigate care providers into the future of healthcare.”
Barnes previously spent 11 years with Greenway, served on 14 industry boards, testified more than 20 times in Washington, D.C., and co-founded 4 industry associations. And he hosts the This Just In radio show.
He said that about half-a-dozen former Greenway employees also joined iHealth in varying capacities, and iHealth has more than 250 employees and some 150 existing customers.
“My ambition from day one has been to navigate providers through healthcare,” Barnes said, and described iHealth as expertise layered over cutting-edge innovation. “No matter where the fed regulations come down, the writing is on the wall: Every care provider that intentionally wants to navigate to new payment and care models can be more successful tomorrow than they are today.”
