
Amit Patel
Dr. Amit Patel is the Founder and CEO of Summit Spine & Joint Centers, one of the largest interventional pain management platforms in the United States. Since founding Summit in 2014, Dr. Patel has led its multi-state expansion across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, growing the company into a leading provider of minimally invasive spine and joint care. He has successfully led the organization through multiple private equity transactions and continues to drive strategic growth and innovation across the platform.
Dr. Patel serves as Chief of Pain Medicine at Emory DeKalb Hospital and President of the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He is a member of the Georgia State Opioid Task Force and serves on the board of the SSP Autism Foundation, which supports research, advocacy, and care for individuals with autism. In addition to his work at Summit, he has launched and invested in ventures across the healthcare, wellness, and real estate sectors.
Dr. Patel received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed advanced medical training in minimally invasive spine procedures at the University of Michigan and Emory University. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
